Where we operate
Small-company attention. Large-company scale.

Our own cleared crews serve defense and aerospace sites in 21 states and DC. As a financially independent member of the GDI Ainsworth group of companies, we can grow with you anywhere else.
Where we operate: IH Services serves defense and aerospace sites from Maine to Florida, west to Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama, and in Utah, Washington, and Oregon. You get the flexibility and responsiveness of a small company, with direct access to the people who make decisions. Meanwhile, membership in the GDI Ainsworth group gives you the capacity, reach, and stability of a large one.
Where we operate: choose your state
Below, each state links to the metros we serve there and the defense and aerospace activity nearby. Alternatively, see the full service area by metro.
Small-company flexibility, wherever we operate
Most defense sites have lived through a large provider’s change-order cycle: a simple request goes up three levels and comes back weeks later. In contrast, with IH Services the decision sits close to your site.
Leaders you can reach
First, the people who can change your scope, your staffing, or your schedule are a phone call away. In other words, there is no regional layer between your site and a decision.
Built around your site
Instead of a national template, we write the schedule, the procedures, and the staffing around your mission and your security office’s rules.
Fast to adjust
Add a shift, re-sequence work around a shutdown, or change frequencies after a Scope Baseline. As a result, those changes happen in days, not through a corporate change-order cycle.
Your site matters to us
Above all, defense and aerospace sites are our only focus. So, every account gets leadership attention, and your site manager answers to people who know your building.
Large-company scale wherever we operate, through GDI Ainsworth
Of course, small should never mean thin. IH Services is a financially independent member of the GDI Ainsworth group of companies, so you get a responsive partner without giving up capacity.
Capacity when you grow
For example, open a new building, add a site, or surge a crew for a shutdown. Then, sister companies in the GDI Ainsworth group can add people under your existing IH Services agreement.
Reach beyond the states where we operate
Similarly, outside our own service area, GDI Ainsworth crews fill the gap. Therefore, a multi-site program keeps one accountable provider wherever the sites are.
Specialist depth on call
For work outside our core scope, such as energy retrofits funded from savings, the group’s specialist companies join the team instead of a stranger off a bid list.
Stability for a long contract
Finally, a multi-year facility agreement needs a provider that will still be there in year five. Membership in a larger group, therefore, backs that commitment with depth in people, training, and purchasing.
Both at once: how we operate in practice
In 2026, IH Services added five defense prime locations in Washington, Oregon, and Utah, nearly a million square feet of service under management. To start them on time, we used GDI Ainsworth crews as subcontractor in Washington and Oregon, while the client kept one agreement and one accountable team. Read the announcement.
Likewise, the results hold up over time: 99 percent on-time work-order completion, 98 percent client retention, and a seven-year renewal by a New York defense and aerospace manufacturer in March 2026. Throughout, our crews are part of a DoD Cleared Workforce, with a dedicated Facility Security Officer trained to 32 CFR Part 117 and a program administered under DCSA. Also, you can verify our registration by searching CAGE 1JXW7 on SAM.gov.
Questions about where we operate
Where does IH Services operate?
IH Services serves defense and aerospace sites in 21 states and the District of Columbia: Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama in the East, plus Utah, Washington, and Oregon in the West. It is headquartered in Sebastian, Florida. Outside those states, the GDI Ainsworth group of companies fills the gap.
What does a smaller facility services company offer a defense site?
Speed and attention. For instance, with a smaller provider, the people who can change your scope or staffing are easy to reach, procedures are built around your site rather than a national template, and changes happen in days. Above all, your site is not one account among thousands.
How does membership in the GDI Ainsworth group help my site?
In short, it gives a smaller provider the scale of a large one. IH Services is a financially independent member of the GDI Ainsworth group of companies, so it can add crews for growth or a shutdown, serve sites outside its own states, and bring in specialist sister companies, all while you keep one agreement and one site manager. For example, IH Services delivered its 2026 expansion to five defense prime locations in Washington, Oregon, and Utah with GDI Ainsworth as subcontractor in Washington and Oregon.
Can IH Services serve a site outside its service area?
Yes. Wherever IH Services does not staff a state directly, GDI Ainsworth crews fill the gap under the same agreement, and IH Services remains the accountable provider. Tell us the location, the start date, and the access level, and we will return a staffing plan.
Opening, expanding, or rebidding a site?
First, tell us the location, the start date, and the access level. Then we will return a staffing plan for that site, wherever it is.
